Return to School

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our schools and our community, Eastpointe Community Schools is working to keep students safe and offer families options for the 2021-22 school year.

Face-to-Face Instruction

Based on the latest guidance from the CDC, MDHHS, and our local health department, we are planning on implementing COVID protocols similarly to how they were when we left in June. For our students, this means:

  • Masks are REQUIRED indoors and on buses for all students and staff, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Masks are optional when outdoors unless in a crowded area with limited physical distancing possible.
  • Physical distancing will be maintained as much as possible.
  • Contact tracing and home isolation will be continued this year as indicated by the local health department.

We are asking our families, students, and staff to help keep one another safe and healthy by self-screening for COVID-like symptoms before coming to school each day by referencing this checklist. Please keep your child home if they are sick.

Our school buildings are open to answer questions and will be sending out more information in the coming days. We're looking forward to welcoming your children back to school on August 30!

Virtual Instruction

Virtual instruction may be available for K-12 students on a case by case basis. Parents should contact their child's school for more information.
