Registration Information

Thank you for choosing Eastpointe Community Schools for your child's education! ECS is continuing to transform the way we educate our students. Here, you'll find a focus of educating students for today's economy and for career paths that will continue to grow in importance for our community and throughout the State of Michigan.

To register, parents will need their child's birth certificate, immunization record, parent photo ID, and three proofs of residency. You may register online or in-person at the school your child will attend.

If your child was enrolled in ECS as of the last day of school, they will remain enrolled and placed in the correct grade for the 24-25 year. They do not need to be re-enrolled.

Eastpointe Residents

Eastpointe residents will enjoy openings for their child in kindergarten through 12th grade. Eastpointe residents who did not attend Eastpointe Community Schools this school year can register to return at any time. Students must turn 5 on or before September 1, 2024 to start kindergarten.

We are now using PowerSchool Enrollment Express to complete new student registration. Once our staff reviews the short form above, you will receive a email with information to create a ParentPortal account and finish the registration process.

School of Choice

Eastpointe Community Schools is pleased to offer unlimited School of Choice openings for the 2025-26 school year to non-resident students in grades K-10 who live in Macomb County, as well as residents of Wayne, Oakland, St. Clair and Lapeer Counties.

Please read all information closely as procedures have changed from previous years.

All Schools of Choice applicants must meet the discipline criteria set forth by Eastpointe Community Schools. Schools of Choice applicants may not have been suspended OR expelled from any school during the previous 24 months.

School of Choice applicants will need a copy of the student's discipline record for the previous 24 months, as well as an Affirmation of Prior Discipline form completed by all schools attended in the last two years.

This record and form, along with the Schools of Choice application, can be taken directly to the school where your child will enroll, or to the Administrative Services building.

As all four of our elementary schools will be offering grades K-5 starting in 2025-26, parents of elementary students will be asked to rank their preferences for elementary placement. While unlimited Schools of Choice openings are available, not every grade at every school has unlimited seats.

Once both the application and the discipline record have been received and approved, you can either choose to fill out a paper packet or complete an online registration. We look forward to welcoming your child to Eastpointe Community Schools!
