Call the Access Center for non-emergency mental health, developmental disability, or substance use disorder treatment services. The Access Center will determine if you are eligible for Macomb County Community Mental Health services and if so, which setting would be most appropriate. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, such as feeling at risk to harm yourself or others, you must dial 911 or go your nearest emergency room.

UBHC staff will provide an immediate assessment to determine the appropriate level of mental health care.  UBHC offers crisis response, family education and support, links to resources and mental health services, as well as help to access hospital services, if needed.  This service is only available to those with Medicaid insurance. Adult, child and family outpatient therapy/counseling.  Macomb County families with Medicaid insurance or uninsured must first call Macomb’s ACCESS Center (586-948-0222) for a phone screening.

Substance Abuse Support Groups

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of recovering alcoholics who meet regularly to help each other stay sober by sharing their experience, strength and hope. For a list of Macomb County meeting locations call, (877) 337-0611.
