Welcome ToPleasantview Elementary

Welcome to Pleasantview Elementary School! This neighborhood elementary school, located on Toepfer Drive near Gratiot Avenue,  serves children in kindergarten through fifth grades as of fall 2025. 

At Pleasantview, we are committed to helping every student develop strong character while fostering a culture of kindness, empathy, responsibility, and belonging. Through our CharacterStrong approach, we intentionally support students' social, emotional, and academic growth, empowering them to build positive relationships, make responsible choices, and develop the resilience and confidence needed to succeed in school and beyond.

Our staff creates a safe, inclusive learning environment where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Students benefit from a well-rounded curriculum built on proven instructional strategies that meet the needs of all learners. In addition, Pleasantview students have opportunities to participate in after-school mentorship programs, Drama club, Glee Club, Dance Club, Robotics, Pear Girls, "Little Shamrocks" sports and many other enriching activities that encourage leadership, collaboration, and service.
