Community Activities

Together with the Eastpointe Community Chest Networking Forum, we have compiled a list of resources to help families find free or low-cost activities to enjoy together throughout this summer and beyond!

Free Family Activities

Museums for All: Families can receive free or very low cost entry to over 850 museums across the country by presenting their SNAP EBT card! Participating local museums include the Belle Isle Aquarium, the Michigan Science Center, the Henry Ford Museum, and Greenfield Village.

Macomb County Family Fun Guide: A resource from the Macomb ISD with fun activities to do this summer.

Eastpointe Memorial Library: Summer reading programs for kids, teens, and adults, plus storytimes, book clubs, and other fun activities.

Warren Public Library: Summer reading programs for kids, teens, and adults, including family activities.

CARE of Southeastern Michigan Summer Camps: Leadership camps for teens and Camp CARE for children whose loved ones are suffering from addiction.

Family Activities at the DIA: Family-friendly activities at the Detroit Institute of Arts, including art workshops and film screenings. Admission to the DIA is free to Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb county residents.
