Minor Incident Involving ECS Bus
An Eastpointe Community Schools bus was involved in a minor accident with a Van Dyke Public Schools bus on October 1. Both buses were picking up students from programming at Carlson Elementary in Van Dyke. Only one ECS student was on board the bus at the time of the incident and neither the student nor any of the First Student transportation staff working for ECS was injured.
Thank you to the transportation team and local emergency services for their quick and professional response.

Prior to this formal notification, the District had no knowledge of, nor had it received any allegations related to, this individual.
All Eastpointe Community Schools services and operations, including free breakfast and lunch, will continue despite ongoing budget uncertainty in Lansing.
